Meaning of Home

Home is not just a house, but something much different, and everyone’s home is unique. Every home is a feeling, an emotion, and a beautiful place. My home is my happy place. It is a place of fun, joy, excitement, and laughter, where I can be comfortable like nowhere else. It is where I am happy, loved, and safe. I see a big blue and pink wall as vibrant as a rainbow. I feel my Bombers blanket my dad gave me. It is warm and comfortable, just like how my family makes me feel. I hear my parents calling for dinner, as the sweet smell of great food fills the magnificent home. I taste lemony chicken and vegetables on rice. There is a quiz going on on the TV, which distracts me from my food. This is how I feel about my home. If Habitat for Humanity were not there, many people would not have a place to live. There are still lots of people out there who need not just a house, but a home. I am therefore glad Habitat is working hard to give as many people a home as they can.
