Home: As Perfect As Can Be

When I think of my home, it brings a smile upon my face, So many wonderful memories that I have experienced in this loving place, It’s where I feel peace, love and sheltered from any kind of fear, And where words of encouragement are what I often hear. It’s where family members and friends happily come and go, Sitting around the table or playing in the snow, Getting together for some delicious food and stories to share, It’s the greatest feeling that can’t be found elsewhere. My home is the perfect place, as perfect as can be. From a soft hug to a gentle smile. It’s the feeling that everything is worthwhile But most importantly, it’s the place where I can just be me and know that I am loved unconditionally. Everyone deserves a place to call their home, Somewhere they can feel safe and never alone, A place where they can live healthy and free, And never have to worry about having to flee. Habitat for Humanity helps make dreams come true, Helping families in need is such an admirable thing to do, Writing this poem has allowed me to do my part, Thank you for the opportunity from the bottom of my heart.
