I am from...

I am from the manure filled fields in the winter time. Where recreational vehicles are heard all the time. The sound of sirens echo through the trees. Where if you need a minute to go outside to relax and listen to the birds singing is always welcome. I am from the house that was built a long, long time ago. With loud screechy stairs from floor to floor. The sound of ambulances up our driveway to bring us to the ER for broken legs and bruised throats. Sometimes I can still hear the sound of the paramedics by the spot where my brother accidentally T,boned me and telling me not to move. I am from the sound of nerf guns being fired by my brother. The crackling of the sandblaster outside from my dad. The sound of my dog barking all hours of the night. The sound of mom rummaging through thousands of hockey cards. I am from old rubbermaid bins full of childhood memories. Boxes and boxes of thousands of hockey cards on shelves. The sounds of me and my brother fighting. The endless need to sleep in on mondays. I am from home
