What Home Means to Me

Home to me is not just a building that you live in. Home to me is a feeling. Home should be a place where you feel loved, comfortable and safe. It shouldn’t be a place where you feel scared or unsafe. Home could be a person or a place. To me home is my family and friends. For many different reasons. Home to me sounds like laughter and giggles, Yelling and fighting. Fighting could be good and bad, but as long as it’s only sometimes then its fine. Home to me smells like cookies and flowers, Sinigang and rice. Home to me feels like a loving, cozy place where I can be myself without feeling weird. Home to me looks like my school, my house and my classroom. I have lots of memories in all these places. There are for sure better memories than bad memories. I don’t feel sad saying there are bad memories because you can learn from it. A house and a home are different things. A house is a structure or the physical building, A home can be whatever or wherever you want. As long as you feel loved.
