What Home Means To Me

A house is known to just be a place for shelter with four walls and a roof. But a home is different from a house, as it is a place where we can laugh and love, while I watch the clouds outside the window soar above. Home means a place with fun and jokes, where we can play games together and goof around. A home means to me a caring place, where we can run around and have lots of space. The smell of breakfast in the morning, I sit at the table with my loved ones and taste the sweetness of maple syrup while we talk to each other. The sounds of our voices filling up the room. Home is a place where we can be ourselves, without having to hide our true personalities from anyone. It is a place where I can talk to each of our family members, my dad, my mom and my brothers. Home is a place that is permanent to me, even if I leave my house, my neighborhood or even my city. Home is always with us. It’s like all your meanings to live brought around in a backpack with me wherever I go. Every day when I get out of bed, I feel energized because I’m able to rest my head. When I wake up in the morning I brush my hair and teeth, and I get to go downstairs and feel the warm feeling of the fireplace in our living room on my skin. I love my home, and my home loves me too. Home is not just a shelter for us but it is the place where we can find the stars that we look at above.
