Home Is Where The Heart Is

Homes are not just four walls and some furniture, they are the people, the memories you have made and so much more. But some people don’t have that. In Canada between 150 000 and 300 000 people don’t have a house or a home! To me a home is about the family inside of it, the love that is of endless supply and the memories that you can make. My home is my favorite place to be. Home is my family. The people I grew up with, the people I know and love, the family I shall forever cherish. My family are the ones who support me, they help me if I need help. My family cares about me and they love me. They are the ones that make me feel safe. A house can be made of wood and stone, but only love can make a house a home. Love to me is one of the most important things that makes my house a home. Love means that you care. That if someone you love gets hurt you will ask if they’re ok and help them. Love is a feeling, it’s a person, it could even be your pet. Love is everywhere, even if you don’t see it. Memories to me are the most important thing in my home. Some memories may want to make you curl up in a ball, while others make you want to scream with joy. You could have memories of loved ones, or memories of a beautiful view. Your favorite memory can be as simple as a friday afternoon when you spend time with a friend or seeing your parents when they get home from work. Or it can be as complicated as a trip to an entirely different country. But no matter what memory it is, every memory is worth remembering. Be grateful for what you have because some people don’t even have a house. The more you thank life, the more life gives you to be thankful for.
