Home

What is home to me? Home to me is a place where you feel safe. You have security to protect you. Your family is around to protect you. You shouldn’t feel scared at home, as you have strong walls and doors at home. Home is a place that you’re familiar with. Like if you move away to a different house, it might not feel like home right away. You’ll need to adjust to the new area. You’re familiar with your home because you’ve made memories there, and it’s where you’ve been most of your life. Home is where you have things to live with, like food, water, and electricity. You don’t have food shortages at home. When I finish my homework I smell the scent of my dad cooking, and it makes me feel hungry. You need safe food to eat so you don’t get food poisoning or die of hunger. You also need safe drinking water. When I’m thirsty and have a glass of water, I feel really nice and hydrated. You also need water that's safe to drink so you have good health, and so you don’t get dehydrated. This is what a home is to me.
