What is home?

A home is where I walk in the house, laughing with my friends and talking about the great times we had and will have. I see my mom cooking a delicious supper and my brother yelling at his video games and my dad watching a hockey game. A home is where you feel safe, and you have people who love you. And smelling your brother's nasty hockey equipment and all the memories that you made and are going to make. And snuggling with your family and watching a movie and eating popcorn and seeing your parents wedding pictures hung up on the wall. A home is where you have four walls and one roof and a floor. And have your shoes everywhere and your clothes but a home to me is where my family is playing a game or having a bonfire and s’mores watching tv when you are sick and one family member taking care of you. To me a home is about traditions. Some of are family traditions are putting up are Christmas tree and opening advent calendars. Making cookies putting milk for Santa and opening Christmas Eve gifts. And in the morning seeing what Santa brought you and having a joyful time with friends, family. And going to your grandparents' house and seeing your cousins' aunts and uncles. And eating the delicious supper and you having to sit and the kids table and the parents sitting at the other table and laughing with your cousins and playing tag and your family saying it is almost time to go but you don’t want to. Then leaving your family and you are not going to see them till 2 months but really a home to me is about family and love and friendship.
