H.O.M.E.

Home is many things: Love, Safety and so much more! But everyone has a different opinion on what home means to them. Some people think that home is safe, and some people think that their home is not as safe. Well, To me , home is a place where I can be myself and when I’m feeling down my family always understands my feelings. When the rain and storm rushes by, I feel safe and thankful for a roof to be over my head. I can crash on my warm comfy bed after a long hard day. Optimistic families are the best kind. I love the feeling of love when my parents tuck me in at night when I’m cuddled up in my warm blanket. My dog's warm fur keeps my feet nice and toasty warm, and I love how he cuddles up on my bed and sleeps. When I come inside from sledding my dog comes over to me and licks my cold cheeks. I like how my mom sits on the coach and does my hair because she combs so gently. Not every family is perfect but we should love our families no matter what! My home is filled with happiness and love. When I come home I walk into the kitchen and mom or dad comes to greet me with hugs and kisses, and then we just laugh! At dinner we talk about our day, and if I feel sad about something my mom and dad help me cheer up. Like my mom she tells me it’s ok, and dad makes the funniest jokes it's hard not to laugh! When I am crying, my dog comes up to me and licks the tears off my face. Then he lays down next to me and cuddles with me. Home is happiness and love to me, and I hope that other people feel the same way about their homes too! Every day I wonder if a kid like me could do anything big? The answer is yes! But I can’t do it alone without other kids like you! If we work together, then we could do anything! For every child that writes a piece of writing, people donate $10.00 to a charity that builds homes for people who are less fortunate. Although the winner does get a tablet and a pizza party for their class, the point is to help out! You by yourself can’t do it, but when we come together then we can 100% do it! Please join me as we help out a whole bunch TOGETHER! Thank you very much for reading!
