A House Is Not Always a Home

What is home? To me, home is a place to make me feel wanted. Loved. Welcome. It’s a shelter to keep me safe, a place to keep me dry, and a place to keep me warm. It’s where everything started. At home, I give my family respect and love, then receive it. To be at home, you need to be familiarized and comfortable. Comfortable as in, being able to be yourself at home. Home is family. It’s more about the people, not the place. Happiness, love, memories and family makes a home. A home isn’t a home without positive memories. You can make sweet memories to carry with you for the rest of your journey into the future. Family is home because to me, my family is everything. One more key word: comfort. I’m fortunate enough to have a comfortable home to relax in. I’m lucky to have a home that I am comfortable in, because other people may not have the same clean, nice, place to live as me. I want other people to enjoy a home as much as I do.
