I’m Grateful for Home

I’m grateful for home, even though it's 100 years old. Age doesn't matter, as long as you feel safe and comforted! And that's exactly how I feel in my cozy house, safe and comforted. I’m grateful for home, when I wake up in my comfy bed with all of my stuffies laying next to me, letting me know I’m safe even if they can’t talk. I hug them real tight and my arms sink into my stuffies. Because even if stuff goes wrong, even if I’m alone, I still have someone to hug. I’m grateful for home, when I come downstairs and take a bite out of the delicious maple syrup covered waffles in happiness! The sweetness in my mouth keeps building up and so does the satisfaction of not being hungry anymore. I’m grateful for home, having all of this family time. Even if it’s just mum and dad, we still talk, laugh, and play games. With them just being in the same room, I feel safe. And sometimes all five people in the family are together, which gives me a happy feeling in my heart. I’m grateful for home, when supper is served and I can smell the fresh warm smell of my mum’s homemade french fries, which are just as good as fries fresh from a fast food restaurant. I also try other stuff like broccoli or chicken. Or some tasty spaghetti. Or even salmon! And that’s why everyone, I’m grateful for home!
