The Meaning of Home

The Meaning of Home By Emma Bubric Home is a place of belonging. You can travel anywhere in the world but you will know when a place feels like home. Whether it's the way you feel when you are at home, or how your life revolves around it. You can also tell that it’s home if it leaves a special place in your heart. A home is the way you live your life. Home is a big part of our lifestyle because your lifestyle is how you act in your home. Home means happiness to me. I’ve gone to many places in the world but my home is Calgary because it’s where I feel the most happy and secure. Home can travel with you. One day, Yellowknife could be your home, but then you might move to another country or city or continent, and that becomes your home from then and on. It’s up to you on what you consider your home. My home is Calgary but that can easily change in a few years. Home doesn’t have to be permanent. It’s always up to you on what your home is. Home isn't a home if it doesn’t feel like that to you. Travel around the world, see what feels like home. You never know what could be your home in the future. Home is culture. Home mostly revolves around culture, from the way your home acts, and the people who live there, and so much more. Everyone’s home is different based on culture. One person’s home could be based on Chinese culture, or maybe Indian culture, or maybe even Swedish culture. Our lifestyle can be our culture, and lifestyle and culture in the end, all revolve around home. That’s why home is so important to everyone, and everything.
