Meaning of Home

Do you know the difference between a house and a home? The difference of a house and a home is that a house is a building for people to live or work in. A home is the place where one usually lives with one's family. In my opinion a house is a building that you live in. A house becomes a home by the people that live in the house, like a mom and dad, brothers and sisters and maybe grandparents. A home is a place that makes you happy because it is a safe place. You can read and play video games by yourself or watch TV and play games with your family. You can make lots of memories in your home by the fun things you do with your family and friends that come over. A house is a place we feel the most comfortable and protected. Now lets talk about examples why a house makes a home. In my family there is my mom and dad, my older sister, my younger brother, and some pets. A reason my house makes a home is that being at home makes me happy. I am happy at home because my family is there, we play games and watch movies together. A reason why my family makes a house a home is we help each other by looking out for each other. We talk about each other's days and how we are doing. My family makes a house a home by eating together, comforting each other and laughing together. We eat dinner together every day. We laugh a lot together by telling jokes. Being with my family makes me feel safe and comfortable to be myself. There are lots of reasons a house makes a home but my family makes my house a home. And we make memories together. I have created lots of memories some are good and some are not too good. A bad memory I had is when I fell down the stairs. I was 4 years old when that happend. I was running down the stairs too fast and I tripped and slid down the stairs face first. My face has carpet burn all over. It really hurt. One of my good memories is, when I was younger I went to my older cousin's house a lot. We would always build forts, we would use blankets and pillows. We had a lot of fun. One of my favourite memories is when I met my friend, Brian. We met on the first day of JK in the classroom. He came up to me and asked if I wanted I to be his friend. I said yes, and we have been good friends ever since. One of my first memories I can remember happened when I was 3 years old and I almost drowned in our friends pool. We were swimming, I needed the bathroom. My mom took of my floaters and brought be inside. When I was done, I ran outside and quickly jumped in the pool without my floaters. I sank to the bottom. Our friend, Lindsay quickly ran and jumped in and pulled me out. It is a fond memory because I almost died, and when we visit our friends we talk about that day and how lucky I was that Lindsay saved me.
