The Meaning of Home

Home is the warm feeling of my family welcoming me after school when my mum picked me up from school and my dad asked about my day. It's also when my brothers come home we sit with each other and watch TV. Home is where you can feel safe and feel comfortable knowing that your parents can keep you safe. Home is where great memories last forever. Home tastes like fresh spices and many different kinds of meals made with love. Home sounds like laughter from my siblings, the clack from the pans when my mum cooks, the tapping of my dad typing emails for work and the whistle of the kettle in the kitchen. Home looks like an often clean place with pictures of my family and my brothers when we were younger. Home smells like candles and freshly grilled or baked stuff like pastries, meat and other delicious foods. Big thanks to Habitat For Humanity for giving other fortunate families safe homes to live in.
