What Home Means to Me

Home is not just a structure but a place you feel welcome in. Home is a place Where we are happy Home is a place that can have A kitchen A basement Or none of that at all A home can be a home without any of those things. A home is a place where all is jolly, And you are free to eat lollis. If you don’t feel welcome in it It is not a real home. A home is not a structure Or a cabin Not even a house is a home. Home is a feeling of happiness where you feel like you belong. In a home you can be long gone in thought. In your home you can let go a of your worries But you can have flurries of fun. It’s not the structure that makes home a home But instead the people you share it with: Your pet, You family, Your special belongings; Makes you feel at home. You can be recording your triumphs, And forget your failures, Because at home there is only good for you. Home is not only a place you sleep Or eat and talk but a place where you have your place Not everyone has a house But everyone has a home. So be thankful for your home because it is one of the most important things. Home is also not only a place you cook, But a place you can read a book, And also a place you look, To the future. In your home you don’t forget your mistakes, So you can improve on what you failed at. Home is not a house, But the place you belong.
