Why home is important

Home is a place where there is love for my cat, And even my favourite hockey hat. It’s where I play, And have fun for the day. Lots of people care, Like a big mommy bear. My family gives me advice to succeed Even when I bleed or don't want to read It smells like my dad cooking a steak that is fat And giving it to my cat It looks like my sister in her room, While my cat is staring at the broom. And my mom and dad working, While I am playing and smirking. It feels like a place where I am happy, Even when I feel slappy. I hear my parents on a call, Even when I want to go to the mall. I touch and pet my cat even when he's not on the couch, But just in a big pouch It reminds me of what I love, Like practicing hockey with my glove. It's good to know what home means, Even if you’re in your teens.
