The Meaning of Home

Home is more than just a door, Brick walls, a closet, The hardwood floor. Home is where I feel safe, And feel the love Of my family’s warm embrace. But home does not have to be a house, It could be a tent, a log, Or a hole for a mouse. An ant hill, a hive, or even a tree, All are homes, Just different from the ones known to you or me. Home can mean so many things, To me, It’s a place where I can spread my wings. I love to see the smiles and laughter, Of my family together, Filling the rooms with chatter. My mom, my dad, and my puppy too, Are loved ones I cherish, J’aime ma famille beaucoup.
