Home is a place of safety. When I am afraid or scared I know it is a safe place to go to. My family is always there to comfort me. Home is safe. Home is a place for family. I smell supper being cooked by my mom. I hear my dad backing into the garage in the old blue van as he gets home from work. I see smiles on my family's faces. I feel cozy and warm with my family. My home in the Summer I hear my sister splashing water in our tiny blue pool. I taste fresh watermelon in my mouth. I see my two brothers and dad throwing a football. I smell the fresh grass cuttings after my dad mows the lawn. I feel the love that is in my family. My home in fall I hear the crunch of the crispy leaves. I smell apple pie being baked. I taste steak fresh off the barbecue. I see my family sitting around the table ready for a meal. I feel the warmth of the blanket that my mom wrapped around me to keep me warm. My home in winter I smell a lovely candle burning. I hear the scraping of shovels on the pavement while clearing the sidewalk. I taste hot chocolate. I see the stack of Christmas DVDs ready to be watched. I feel warm and cozy in my home. My home in the spring I taste birthday cake for my birthday. I feel happy. I see flowers blooming. I hear birds chirping outside through the open window. I smell the rain after it rains. Thank you Habitat for Humanity For helping find a home for people who don’t have a home. I think everybody deserves a home. Thank You!
