What I see in & out

What I see in & out of my little house In my house I can smell my sweet soap, my pizza pop, noodles, sometimes hot chocolate In my house I can feel my dog’s fur, my cat’s fur, love, my hurting neck, my hurting back, my hurting fingers, coolness, warmth, hunger. In my house I can hear my dog’s barking, my cat’s meowing, talking, walking, and my microwave fan. In my house I can see my dogs, my cats, our Xbox, our mom, our dad, our grama, my brother, my bed, our home. In my house I can taste pizza pops, milk, rarely juice, rarely gummies, rarely hickory sticks, rarely clamato juice, rarely pizza and rarely hamburgers and gum. And what I see out of my little house… I see toys I really want, Nintendo switches, phones, bigger houses, unfair people who are rich. But in my classroom, I feel… Safe, where I can be my normal self, where I can do super fun things with my awesome friends and teacher. But in my house, I feel safe my funny old self and all those other things. What I see in & out of my little, little house.
