A House Might Not Be A Home

A house is a place. A home is the look on my mom and dad’s face. A house is just materials on top of the silt. A home is the memories I have built. To me, home means a kind hearted friend. For me, home means trust and love till the very end. A home is a place where you can be you. A home is a place where I can be me too! A home is a place where I can be me. A home is a place where I can be free. A home is a place where I can just be. Home is a place where you can be sad. Home is a place where you can be glad. I feel at home when I'm with my class. I feel at home walking through wet, warm, summer grass. I feel at home when I'm at school. I feel at home when I'm with my friends at the pool. I'm at home when I look into the clear, blue, sky. I'm at home when my friends hug me as I cry. Thank you, Habitat For Humanity for making houses for families to live in. And thank you, families for making your house a home. Farewell I hope you enjoyed this poem.
