Meaning of Home

What does home mean to you? Hey, I’m Lily and I will be talking about my home, why homelessness should stop, and homeless stereotypes. Hope you enjoy! Firstly, what home means to me, home means my family is there, it also means I can be and feel safe. I can wear pj’s and eat a whole pizza without being judged. Most importantly that’s where my memories lay! I love my home and I hope you love yours! Secondly, I think homelessness should stop and here’s why. I think homelessness should stop because should people have to live on the streets just because they don’t have money? I didn’t think so. Everyone deserves a home, so do you, you may think well what should we do about it there’s quite a few ways that you can help. Some ways you can help are by donating to charities like Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity makes houses for homeless people that are within their budget. Also, if you see a homeless person when you’re on your way home from work or school or even just on a walk, share your lunch or donate some money because everyone deserves a home. Finally, I’ll be talking about stereotypes. Not everyone is homeless because of drugs or wasting money. Sometimes they will have a health issue so they can’t work. When you’re in that homeless position it’s hard to get out of because most job applications are online and if you don’t have a device to do so that’s going to be hard. Plus, if you go to an interview most companies won’t want to hire you because you would be smelly and dirty because you would not have a shower to clean you. That’s why I think homelessness should stop and not assume stereotypes and most importantly what home means to me! Remember every penny counts!
