Meaning of Home

Home is a feeling, not a place It’s where you feel supported and also safe In a home, you are loved and get hugs All together, just like doves Homes are places in our hearts So much sweeter than cherry tarts At home, we are encouraged to stretch our wings And prepare for whatever the future brings Like a rainbow in the sky We show our true colours that make us fly Laughter and joy make us beam So we can bravely chase our dreams Families strive together and help each other We see the best in one another Home is where we learn and grow There’s no greater treasure that I know This is somewhere we never forget And if we leave, we'll always regret If everyone can really care Together, we’ll be as strong as a bear Homes can have pets like a rat Or a dog or a snuggly cute cat They cheer us up when we feel down in the dumps Pets chase away all of our giant angry grumps So never deflate like a popped balloon You’ll always get pumped up, very soon Never give up on what you think is right Your family will be there, to hug you tight Home is where we learned to try our best Where love will never rest To our beloved home, thanks for all the love Thank you for all the things above
