A Home Built of Smiles and Laughter

A home to me is a smile. To me, home is the soothing whisper of my mom. The whispering of my mom is so subtle and sweet that I could listen to her soothing voice forever. My Dad’s encouraging words get me through the day, he always wants us to be the best person we can be. A home is constructed around its community. My community is full of smiles and laughter. To me, a home should be a place filled to the brim with love. A home is a place where the smell of comfort food dances and bounds in the air. Leaping from each nose to the next. The smell of food carries them closer. A home is where sadness lives too. All your thoughts and visions live there. But just remember, home is where you should feel safe, and no one has the right to take that away from you. A house is not the same as a home. Every wall in a home has a story or a memory behind it. That’s what a home means to me.
