The good in the bad

We all have good days and we all have bad days. An example of a good day for me is when I walk down stairs and the smell of pancakes fill the air,it makes me feel at home which makes me think how this is the start of a great day. Although some people have it hard, like if you don’t have a house to protect you or a home to make you feel safe. Not having a house is hard to imagine if you, yourself, have not experienced it, but not having a home is even harder to imagine. Home doesn’t have to be a place, it can also be a person or an object. If i didn’t have a home I imagine I would be sad, miserable and feel alone. The thing is you might not have both or neither, some people have just a house and others just a home. If I had to choose I would rather have a home because even though I have no house I can still feel safe and loved, So if I had to describe a home I would say home is anything in which you feel love, welcomed and safe. The moral of this story is to see the good in the bad, like a rainbow after a storm and to never take things for granted as some people aren't as lucky as us. I am proud to say with a little poem, story, essay we can help Habitat for humanity raise money for those in need. _ Violet
