The meaning of home

For the longest time I thought home was Nnigeria so when we left I missed home so when people asked where my home was I would say Nnigeria But one night I missed my home so much I started crying and when my mom saw me and she came to sit down beside me “what wrong sweetie” she said “I am missing home” “hmm… and where exactly is home” is says “Nnigeria” I say “no” “ who are all your memories in nigeria with “ “umm my family and friends” “okay so that is home to you” “if all your friends and family came to canada would this place feel like home” “yes” I said “see so nigeria is where you lived but your friends and family is your home” “ your right but there are other thing that make me feel at home” I say “okay then I am give you an assignment find all the thing that make you feel like home and when your done come and tell me . I sat there and thought of what the meaning of home means to me Friends,memories,family,safety So that's my meaning of a home I thought to myself From then on when people ask me where my home I would say my home is my friends and my family that was all I needed to feel at home and maybe some of my favorites Nigerian food so when I was done I went to my mom And told her that my friends and family and some of my Nigerian food made me feel at home Good job she said so if I move again all I need is my friends and family to feel at home what makes you feel at home?
