What is Being Homeless Like?

In winter, my family goes outside in my backyard and makes snowmen and snow forts. When we get back inside, we have hot chocolate. When we do all these things together, I feel warm, happy, and at home. When I see all these things, I start to wonder, does everybody have all these things? I remember all the homeless people that don't feel any of those feelings. That shouldn't be, not at all!! It would be harder to be homeless. You would probably live in a tent or a house made of cardboard. It would be cold, and your house would fall apart because of the rough winds and snow. You would probably feel lonely and sad. A lot of homeless people are treated poorly and unfairly. You can give them supplies to build a shelter. You never know how one small act of kindness can change somebody’s life. Not only can one small act of kindness change one person’s life, it can change the lives of many others! That’s why everyone deserves a home. If you only live under a park bench or a tree, the tree could be chopped down and the bench wouldn’t protect you from rain. When you share kindness, it will spread. Soon, everybody will be treated like they should. They won’t be treated disrespectfully.
