The Meaning of Home

Not having a home would be very frustrating. You would have to find a home and make money to buy one. If you don’t have a home you do not have access to water. You would always get sick because you would be cold a lot. Being lonely feels like nobody wants to play with you. I think that’s how it would feel to not have a home. To me, home means family. In a home you have your family pictures. Your brothers and sisters are there too. Having a home is like a dream come true. You can play safely in your house. In your house, you can play games with your family. You can also play your favourite sport. Every winter we put lights on our house. We also put up a big Santa inflatable. At Easter, we go to my Poppa and Grandma’s for dinner. When it’s Valentine’s Day my parents give us big chocolate hearts. Families can do their own traditions in their homes. Sometimes if you miss a tradition, your house doesn’t feel like your home. If you didn’t have a home, it would be hard to make traditions.
