Home is not a house

A house has four walls, a roof, and a door. A Home doesn't need any of that. For me, home is many places. It's seeing my family after being away. Home is hearing my sister laughing. Home is wonderful. Where home is can change or it may be in many places. Home changes from day to day like hugging my dad, my mom comforting me after a hard day or my grandma making dinner for me, my sister, mom and Papa. Some people go from house to house but not home to home. Sometimes you can feel like you left home for a house but once you have home it's always with you. If you feel alone and like you lost home try to think of what makes a house then think of what makes a home. To me, a home is somebody to share the joy with and somebody to cry with, home is laughter but it's also there for the hard times to support you. To me, home is hard to describe because it's not a thing, it’s a feeling. If home was a feeling it would feel like the warmest hug. If it was a scent it would smell like the most delicious food you can ever think of right out of the oven. If home was a sound it would sound like your family laughing together. If you could see the feeling of home it would look like all the people you love. After my parents got divorced I had to go from one house to another so I was confused about what home was and where it was but now I know home stays with you wherever you go, and why home is not a house.
