The Sense of Home

When I think of home, I smell my mom’s fresh baking. I can see artwork from my childhood, I hear the sound of music through the walls when my mom’s working out, I taste chocolate chip cookies straight from the oven, I feel the warmth of a glass of hot chocolate when it’s cold. Home is full of senses. Your senses tell you where your home is and where it is not your home. It’s where we can imagine and dream about your future. Home is full of special smells that remind me of home. And special tastes to remind me of home. For example, When my mom makes latkes have their own smells. The smell is infused throughout the house. I also smell fresh banana bread. Home is where my family lives. It’s where we can cook, bake, and sleep. My family likes to cook together. We use our different knowledge of recipes to cook food. You can taste the different foods, and those are unique to us. Home is where you do your dreaming and let your imagination guide you. Imagination and dreaming are like using your sense of sight. You can imagine what you want to be in the future with your family. I want to be a video game designer and also a professional Youtuber. Everyone has a different sense of home, that’s one of the reasons why everyone is unique. The sense of home is a combination of all senses. It’s the part of the senses that reminds you of your home. For these reasons in my opinion the sense of home is the most important sense. Also everyone deserves a home. That's why I am thankful for habitats for humanity for building homes for the homeless.
