What Home Means to Me

My home is my family My home is my friends My is where I feel safe My home is where I am safe For my home is not just some place It can be in the mountains It can be in the woods It is wherever my body is at peace It is where I belong Not where I’m born Not where my mother or father are from Not my race gender or place Home can be everywhere It can be in the air The breeze from the willow or the leaves from the trees But where my home is Is where I am free
