If Home Was a Tree

If home was a tree, the roots would be my family standing strong. If home was a tree, the trunk would be a cozy place where you would hear laughs all day. If home was a tree, the branches would be all the people I care about. If home was a tree, the leaves would be the roof keeping us safe from rain and snow. If home was a tree, the flowers would be the kindness spreading like petals. If home was a tree, the fruits would be the community. If home was a tree, the animals would be the neighbors. And all of this started with a tiny seed as the meaning of home grows bigger to me. I planted a seed on July 30 2023 in Canada, when there was already a hole to put the seed in. The seed started growing into a sprout when I started to adapt to my new home. The sprout started growing into a sapling when I got used to my new home. The sapling started growing into a tree when I started to have friends. And now I have a tree with roots, a trunk, branches, leaves, flowers, fruits and animals. And I wish for everyone to find their own “trees”and habitat is helping people to find their own “trees”.
