Meaning of Home

Home is a place of love. A place you can feel safe and not have any worries. All your fears shake away when you walk through the door! For me home is more than just a building, it's a place you can fight with your siblings as long as you make up! Home is a place where I can practice hockey with my dad. I've had a lot of homes and each home is like a check mark in a video game. Each home you learn something new. Maybe it's a cool, trick or maybe it's a new friend, no matter what it is home is home. Everyone needs a home because everybody needs a check mark in their life. Big homes or small homes it doesn't matter. I have a four person family. Sometimes it seems like two or three because my sister lives away for school and my dad goes off to work a lot. We get through my dad leaving for the military and my sister comes home all the time. The longest my dad has gone is 1 year and he just got back. I remember hearing the door crack open when my mom came into the house and my dad followed. It must have felt so thrilling to get back from his military tour. Having a home to come back to. There's a lot of things in life we take for granted but home is not one and I know, even big things in life might not seem too big, but a home is. I remember when my dad bought my ATV in my new home. It was cool. I still have it to this day, I love it and I love my new home, because I love my check mark.
