Home

You can describe a home in many different ways The walls and roof built with brick or hay But above all else a home is a place Where your heart rests and is there to stay A home is a place where you feel bulletproof A place where you’re free to go off and goof It’s a place full of love and happiness Free of mean words and nastiness A home is where you can be you Without anyone making you feel blue A home is filled with fun and laughter That when you walk away you can think about after A place that makes you smile Whether that's cooking, reading, or scrubbing the tile There may be tiffs along the way But if it’s truly home, you’ll still stay Home is where we grow tall and strong Letting our roots glide along Where we push ourselves every day To overcome challenges in the way Home is a place neither here nor there But a place bursting with love everywhere A home is where a dream grows And where that dream never slows So I hope you’re able to see The fun and the beauty that home brings to me May home bring light to you too And help you discover the real you
