The Meaning of Home

Home can mean different things for different people. Like a home could be a nest for a bird, a cave for a bear,a dam for a beaver and a house for a human. When people say home you think of a human’s home, but animals have homes too and we should value their house too! But mostly I am going to talk about a human’s opinion on home in this paragraph . Home for some people is just a building with 4 walls, a roof, ample amenities, comfort and a permanent place to live. But for others it is something which they only dream about. As per the 2021 census, the number of people who own a house is 66.5%. So to those lucky people who own their own home, I have a message for you. There are people living in the harsh cold of winter without a house, without a heater and without hope. To me, a house means a place where me and my family can make joyous memories. I feel very lucky to have a house because I know around 30% of people don’t have a house and I appreciate Habitat for Humanity for giving people in need a home of their own. I hope the percentage of people who own a house will increase in the following years. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for helping the people in need and I hope you will continue to do so! Also I hope maybe someone could try to provide the poor animals with shelters whose home is being destroyed or cut down and provide a shelter for them too.
