Heartfelt Home

A home and a house, two similar words but have two completely different meanings. This is what home means to me. A home can be anyplace, anywhere with anyone. It could be with family, friends, or even pets. For me home is with my family. There is a saying “Home is where the heart is” and if my heart is with my family, I will feel like I am at home. If your heart is with your friends or pets you will feel like you're at home when you’re with them. A home is also a place of responsibility, doing chores, cleaning up, is all part of having a home. You will have to work together with the people you love to maintain a home. Remember teamwork makes the dream work. When I'm at home most days it’s a lesson, we learn new things and grow. My siblings and I learn from our mistakes. But don’t be fooled, I can tell you that no family is perfect, not even mine. All families have their ups and downs, it could be an argument on who's the favorite, who’s going to take a shower first or even who’s taking out the garbage. In a home you make new memories and leave old ones too, even the ones you dislike, like taking out the garbage. But the greatest memory of all is spending time with the ones you love.
