Meaning of Home

85 years. That is how old my house is. Another fun fact about my home is that my great Granpa built it with his friends. I love hanging out with my family in my home because I feel safe, happy and loved. Safe is the first feeling I get when I come home, and this is why. First of all, I ALWAYS feel safe in my bed at night because my bed is nice and warm and my fan blocks out all the scary noises in the house. Listening to music, dancing and hanging out with my family also makes me feel safe. The second feeling I get when I come home is happiness. One thing that makes me happy is learning new songs on the piano. This makes me happy because accomplishing something new is happiness to me. Additionally, whenever I help my mom and dad decorate or clean the house makes me happy and loved. I also feel happy when I hang out with my cousin, Meredith, and we play a magic game where we pretend to cast spells and make potions. This brings me to my final feeling, love. I have always felt loved in my home, especially when my mom kisses me goodnight. My family in general makes me feel very loved, because they are always with me during hard times. In conclusion, feeling safe, happy and loved are just a few of the amazing feelings I have at home. I hope that Habitat for Humanity can give a home to every family in need because every child deserves to feel safe, happy and loved in their home.
