Home Is Not A House

Home is not a house. Homes are not always quiet as a mouse. What home means to me is not a place with a lock or a key. It's not just a place where you live and you sleep. For home is a place for family. You might think this is funny, but you don't need lots of money. Home is a place with sweet embrace. Smiles, and hugs, and laughter, and love. Home is a place where the days are going by way too fast but at least you know these memories will last. I try to enjoy these moments because they won't they last forever, but at least I know family stays together. Because in a home, you're not alone. Home is where I celebrate holidays, Christmas, and Easter. I love these always. Holidays are such a special time for me, standing around the Christmas tree. Trick or treating up and down, getting candy all around. At home, I feel so safe, which is something you have to appreciate. Every person deserves a home but if you don't, you are not alone. Home is a place more people should live so Habitat for Humanity loves to give. They give time, money, and homes, and that is why I am writing this poem. Habitat for Humanity is the best. My question is when do they rest? I love helping people in need, so this project gets rid of greed. Home is for everyone but not everyone has a home.
