Meaning of Home

Home is not just a place where you eat and sleep. It's a place where you feel safe, loved and have fun. Sometimes, when you are not at home, you have to pretend to be someone you’re not. But when you are at home, you can be yourself and not be judged. For me home smells like me and my mom making lasagna, my brothers are laughing, and my dog is chasing my cats down the stairs. My home feels like me and my family under blankets eating popcorn while watching a movie. For me, home is also the snow. Snow reminds me of Saskatchewan where I was born. In the winter there, they have like 3 feet of snow. In Kelowna, where I live now, there can be 1 foot or less of snow. I have grown up playing with my dogs in the snow. Home feels like happiness and happiness can be a lot of things. Some of the things that make me happy is dance or my friends. My dogs and family also makes me happy.
