Home is our base and Our favorite place Home is where love starts Where life begins Where I feel most Comfortable to be myself Home is where laughter Loops through the sky Like a soaring eagle above my eye Because my dad is in the military, I've lived in many places and known Many people who I will never forget For me, home isn't Where we are but Who we are with We live and we learn But we always return home In life I've learned that you must embrace where you live and who you're with Because you won’t always have Your mom cooking Your dad building And your brothers playing With you You won't always have Fifteen feet of snow In your front yard or A beautiful prairie sky So always know that in life Whether you have a big house or not that's not what matters It's that you have a home And share love and laughter With those who need it Thank you, Habitat for Humanity For helping those in need get a place to Call home
