What Home Means to Me

Home is a feeling of safety and happiness. It’s the feeling of love and comfort with your family. Home is where I spend time with my family. It’s where my mom paints on her brand new canvas’. Home is where my dad plays his freshly bought games. It’s where my brother plays the noisy game Minecraft. It’s where my new puppy runs, sleeps and eats. Home is where you see the cute puppy eyes and the smiles of mom and dad. Home is where you see the comfy couch and the nice bright lamp. Home is where you see the freshly cleaned basement and kitchen. Home is where you hear the faint barking of my puppy. Home is where you hear the sizzling of food on the frying pan. Home is where you hear the creaking of the stairs when you go up and down. Home is where you smell the lovely smell of candles that burn when day turns to night. Home is where you smell the warm spring scent after the cold winter. Home is where you smell the mouth-watering food that just came out of the oven. Home is the feeling of safety and security. Home is the feeling of love and joy after a fun game or movie. Home is the feeling of comfort when in bed on cold wintery nights. Home to me is a place and a feeling at the same time. It’s also somewhere you can sleep and eat and it’s the place that makes you feel great.
