Home is a Symbol of Love

Home can be a place of love and joy. But at times, it can be sad and worrisome. Even still, it can always be a place of safety and contentment if you just try. Home is where my family is. It is calm, enjoyable and gentle. It is where I see my dad’s warm smile in the mornings right before school and where I hear my mom’s beautiful crisp voce. It is also my dog’s boisterous bark and her velvety coat. Home is where you see beautiful, vibrant colors. In my beautiful, comfy abode, you will see magnificent paintings and exquisite sculptures. You will see everything in between, but most of all, love. Home is where you smell mouthwatering food from Christmas. The aromas are so irresistible, and everyone is a little rowdy. Home is the feeling of cheerful summer breaks and the feeling of turning the Christmas tree on. It’s beautiful when it starts to illuminate. You can taste the frost in the air when it’s winter. Home can be a place where you hear food sizzling on the stove. A home can be the faint sound of rain hitting the roof and the thunderous and powerful lightning. Home to me is a comfy place - sometimes peaceful and sometimes rowdy. It is always loving and something that you long for. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity for doing what you are doing. You truly are changing the world, one family at a time.
