Dizon Home, My Home

A house without the love of family can’t be called Home. It’s where the love of every family grows. Inside every corner of my home our family builds memories together. In the living room where we often gather to talk, sometimes laugh or cry if there’s a problem to be discussed, watch favorite shows or movies, play games whenever there’s a celebration and we sing every karaoke night. Memories from my frustration playing piano and happiness every time I played well. Often in the living room we take photos where every smile of my family is captured. At the dining room, we gathered to eat my mother's delicious food and to discuss the wonderful stories we’ve experienced. It’s good to eat when I’m with my family, where we pray and give thanks for the grace that has come into our lives. In the kitchen, I can see how everyone helps each other. My mother or father will cook, and my sister and I will prepare the table and wash the dishes. In the bedroom, my favorite part of my house, there I can relax and at the same time witness my hard work in studying. My room is also one of the places where I can talk to my sister or my parents privately about life. The washroom or bathroom, the extension of my bedroom, where I spend a lot of time fixing myself and getting ready for the day to come. My home became part of my growth and learning in life. In all the events that come in my life, whether joyful or sorrowful, my home has been a witness to what I’m going through in life.
