What Home Feels to Me

Home… Home is a place where you and your family create the most wonderful memories. It is the place where you first learned how to walk and when you said your first words when you were a baby and when you learned how to bake cookies with your mother. Home is a symbol of simple gatherings and enjoyable talks. Home represents the best memories you can have. It is where you create your future. If home was a spectacular view, it would be a lovely rainbow falling from the sky. If home was a sound, it would be the sound of my family sitting at the couch laughing while watching a movie. If home was a smell, it would be the smell of my mother’s cooking. If home was a taste, it would be the taste of freshly baked peach pie topped with vanilla ice cream. If home was a feeling, it would the feeling of love, joy, care and peace In spite of having wars and struggles, being with your family will give you a sense of safety and belonging. Home does not have to be luxurious or enormous to feel like home, home does not have to be all about fancy things or about how it looks. Home is a place where you can be yourself and feel accepted for who you are. Home is where you will always be welcome, even if you were away for many years, your family would always welcome you. In conclusion, home can not be defined but it is a feeling that warms your heart. Home is a blessing that you should always be grateful for having it.
