Home In Six Senses

When I wake up in the morning, I hear the birds singing. It’s quiet and peaceful. I can see the outside light shine through the crack of my curtains. My blankets feel like soft kittens rubbing against me. It still smells like the chocolate chip cookies from last night. It tastes like barbeque chicken from two nights ago. My house is a hibernating bear, it’s tired. One thing I love about my home is that I can go on my deck and look at my neighborhood and it is safe. And when I’m on my deck I can remember all my old memories that I had. When I’m still laying in my bed, I can hear my dad’s noisy truck because he’s getting ready for work 10 minutes before I walk to school, I play basketball on my mini hoop with my brother. My cats have over 10 sleeping spots that they think they own, but they don’t. When I see them sleeping, it makes me happy because they know they are safe in my home. When we call them in for dinner, they came running from outside. I feel a sense of relief when they have reached our house. I never know what they are doing or where they are when they are outside and sometimes I get worried about them being unsafe. So far, they have always been safe and made it home safely. Which made me happy so far. I’m lucky because I get to sleep in my own bed and my own bedroom. I like that in my home I have all the necessities that I need to live. Those are the reasons I love to have a home. HOME
