Happiness: There is lots of happiness in my home. No one tells me that I must do something or act a certain way. I am in a place where I can feel safe and appreciated, I feel happy and loved by the people that care about me. Occupy: At home, I can occupy myself and be who I want to be without being made fun of. Home is where I can just enjoy my life and be who I want to be. No one tells me to fix myself. I can occupy the space I am in and be as crazy or as chill as I would like to be. Memories: Home is where so many memories are made. Memories can make life so much easier when times are hard by remembering all the fun, happy, and even sad times to help you get through it all. Empathy: Empathy is in in my home. When you are near the people you love and the people that love you, that makes a home. Home is where people will forgive you and support you at your every move. I know that if I do something wrong, the people around me will still love me and care for me. It makes me feel safe and loved and that is so important in our homes. H – happiness, O-occupy, M-memories, E-empathy… All these words that I have chosen spell out the word “home,” but these things also exist in my home. Sometimes people think that a home is just a place where you live but I call that a house, not a home, because a home to me is much more.
