What Home Means to Me

In my home, I am cared about. In my home, the people around me make me feel loved, somewhere I am considered by my family. When I think about my home, I think about our memories and time we have shared. Even though we sometimes disagree in our home, we always come back together. My house is not a house it is a home. Over the years we have made it a home and we have made it special just for us. The meaning of home to me is loving memories, a cozy shelter, and a calming safety. In my house, we have memories, and every memory is special. I remember having game nights and movie nights when I was little, and I loved it! In our homes, we make memories, and I am hoping this essay will do the same for another family. What people do not realize is all the memories we create. Without memories your home would not be home. Safety is not just a roof over your head. It is the feeling of being cared about and being protected. It is the security aspect of it. Having four walls to protect you and having a roof to shelter you. That is why I am authoring this essay. To give people homes. That is all that matters to me. Giving people decent homes. If I could describe home in one word it would be shelter. Shelter is just not four walls and a roof. It is the feeling that you have in your home. When its hot outside you feel cool inside, when it is raining, you are not wet. That is what having a shelter is to me. When I am in another home, I do not feel that kind of shelter as in my own home. When I think of people without that type of shelter, I feel bad for them I wish that they could have the same security as do I. This is my essay on my meaning of home. By authoring this essay, it has taught me everything in my home that is special to me in my home. Like the bonding time we share. It is hard to draft an essay about everything in my home. My house is special, just like yours, and I am hoping by drafting this essay I will give a home to someone with less opportunities as I do. This essay has taught me to be more appreciative of having a delightful home unlike other people. I am hoping you enjoyed reading this as essay much as I did writing it. Without memories, a shelter and safety my house would not be a home.
