What Home Means to Me

Home can't just be described as a place with walls and a roof, home is a place where anyone and everyone can feel loved. When I am home, I feel safe, happy, and loved. I feel warm inside. Home, where I can hear... ...the laughter when my cousins and friends come over to my house. ...my dad cheer when his favourite hockey team scores a goal. ...the Seymour River raging on a rainy ay. Home, where I can smell... ...the cedar around my house. ...my mom's oatmeal cookies fresh out of the oven. ...the wood-burning fire in my living room. Home, where I can see... ...the orange and red colours of the crackling fire. ...my cuddly cat watching the birds. ...the ducks in my pond in the spring. Home, where I can taste... ...the creamy broccoli cheddar soup my dad makes. ...my salt and vinegar chips while I watch a movie. ...the chocolate berry cobbler my mom makes on special occasions. This is what home means to me.
