A Home is Different from a House

A home is different from a house. In this essay I’ll be writing about the differences between a house and a home. A home is anywhere while a house is in a neighbourhood. For me a house has furniture, appliances, food, water, shelter, privacy and comfort. A home has love, family, comfort, food, water, appliances, happiness and fun. The difference between a house and a home is that a house is a structure while a home is a place with memories and sentimental meaning. According to Global News 25,000 - 35,000 are homeless every night in Canada. Every year there are 235,000 people homeless in Canada. Currently there are 150 million people homeless in the entire world. My family has moved 7 times to different parts of Canada before coming to the city of Mississauga. The worst time was when my family was planning to go live in India but Covid-19 came to Canada and all airports closed, so we could not go to India and we had to live in a small one bedroom apartment for one whole year. This is what is the difference between a house and a home. This is also what a house and a home mean to me.
