Meaning of Home

Home is not just a house, it’s a place that makes you feel happy and loved. Somewhere you can be yourself and no one will judge you for who you are. Somewhere you feel loved and cared for. In my home I see my dog playing with her teddy in my living room and fighting her tail while I'm cozy on the sofa covered in my warm blanket watching a movie on a cold winter's day. I munch on snacks like warm buttery popcorn or homemade treats. I taste a fresh fruit smoothie in the morning and ice cream on a scorching summer day. I can feel the cold but sweet taste of the delicious ice cream. I can smell my mum brewing her coffee in the morning. My home holds memories that no one else can recreate. Because every little thing counts when it comes to family. Because family is what makes home a place you feel attached to and safe in. Home is not just a place it is a feeling, a feeling of joy and happiness like when I walk through my door when I get home from school my dog Pepper cries with joy, it makes me feel loved and tells me that she thinks of me and all my family a lot. I care a lot about my family and friends, they are all very loyal to me. My friend lily I've known since I was four, she is my best friend. I can hear the baby birds chirping outside in the morning. and my music on my Alexa in my bedroom while I sit on my bed. In my home I feel grateful that I have a roof over my head and food in my stomach. And that I have a family that believes in me and always takes care of me. My mum always reminds me that she loves me, and my dad always cheers me up in one way or the other. One memory that I will always keep with me is when me and my mum baked cookies together the smell of the cookie dough was to die for, I always got to have a spoon full of delicious cookie dough.
