Home

This is my poem about the Meaning of Home Home Some say that home is where you hang your hat, but to me it means much more than that. Some say a home is just a building, some say it's four walls sometimes leaning, To me a home is so much more than just walls and a floor. A home is much more, it is safety to me, a home is a place I am happy and free. A home is a place to wake up in the morning and as I walk downstairs, I sometimes hear family snoring. A home is a place that at meals there is prayer, to thank our Lord for what we share. A home is a place I can hug my dog and run in the yard and pick up frogs. A home can be many colors and shapes, to some it is scary, to some a place to feel safe. A home to me is a place you can share fears, with a family who loves you and wipes your tears. A home is a place where you settle in at night, to see the stars out the window shining bright. At the end of the day with thoughts in my head I thank the Lord for my Cozy bed. A home to me at the end of the day is so much more than people say.
